FIRST MEETING OF REFUGEE SPONSORSHIP MOBILITSATION PLATFORM !

SHARE’s Refugee Sponsorship Mobilisation Platform (formerly known as the Civil Society Advisory Network)) met for the first time on September 30, 2021. It gathered over 70 participants from civil society organisations, sponsor group representatives, refugees, regional and local authorities, and practitioners to exchange and discuss how to advocate and work together to grow and expand refugee sponsorship.
The meeting included presentations from QSN partner, Citizens UK, on using a multi-stakeholder, inclusive, bottom-up approach to advocate for and expand refugee sponsorship and key insights from refugees on the full inclusion of refugee voices in advocacy. Participants also discussed challenges and ways to make sponsorship more sustainable as well as main advocacy messages around sponsorship.
